Railroad Day is always the Third Saturday in July
The Town of Alberton began celebrating its Railroad heritage in the 1980s, after the Milwaukee Railroad stopped operating and the tracks were torn up from the main street, which is called Railroad Avenue.

Today you can still see the concrete pillar used to turn the train boxcars in the opposite direction. And every Third Saturday in July, the community celebrates all things railroad, including a Hunt The Golden Spike Treasure Hunt.
