Alberton is an incorporated town governed by a Mayor and a four-member council that meets the first Tuesday of each month.
The Town Clerk produces meeting agendas and minutes for each meeting of the Alberton Town Council. Agendas are available at the end of the month. You can find them posted on our website and at the Alberton Post Office.

If possible store trash cans inside of a garage/shed to help reduce attracting bears. Pet food and unused bird seed should be kept inside. 

WATER/SEWER UTILITY BILL
Utility bills need to be RECEIVED in the office by the 20th of each month. If you are mailing checks or you have your bank set up to mail checks, please make sure they are delivered prior to/ or by the 20th of the month. If the office doesn't receive the payment in time your next bill may show  two months worth of services.
WATERING LAWNS
Be sure to review the Sprinkler Rules to make sure you're in compliance and watering on the correct day and at the correct time.

A MUSEUM IN A BOXCAR
The Town of Alberton is blessed to have two museums that capture the history of this railroad town. Our Railroad Museum is housed in an authentic Milwaukee Railroad Boxcar. The museums are open to the public during the summer.

The history of Alberton, Montana, includes the railway that once ran through downtown in the 1900s. Our Community Center -- which is available for rent -- is the original Milwaukee Rail Depot. Join us in July as we celebrate Alberton Railroad Day!
